God Dethroned (engl. „entthronter Gott“) ist eine Death-Metal-Band aus den Niederlanden.
Bandgeschichte [Bearbeiten]
God Dethroned wurde 1990 von Henri Sattler gegründet. Nach einem Demo veröffentlichten sie ihr Debüt-Album „The Christhunt“ 1992, nach Problemen mit den anderen Bandmitgliedern und dem Plattenlabel löste Sattler die Band aber danach auf. Sattler gründete dann 1994 die Thrash-Metal-Band Ministry Of Terror, verließ sie jedoch nach der Aufnahme eines Albums (Fall Of Life) und einer Europa-Tournee wieder und gründete God Dethroned mit neuen Mitgliedern erneut. Darauf folgten erfolgreiche Tourneen mit unter anderem Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, ImmortalMarduk und Auftritte auf großen Open Airs, wie dem Dynamo, dem Wacken und dem Summer Breeze. Ihr Plattenlabel ist Metal Blade Records. und
